Shannon Marshall is a Registered Massage Therapist with over 10 years of experience in massage therapy, focusing on paediatric pain, palliative care, and end of life care.

Shannon works at Toronto’s The Hospital For Sick Children with the Paediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT), where she offers registered massage therapy to children who are critically ill and/or facing end of life. She also works with the Chronic Pain Service at SickKids’ Hospital, providing massage therapy to outpatients.

Shannon is currently leading a research team studying the effects of massage therapy on pain, anxiety, and quality of life with children diagnosed with cancer. She coauthored an article which was published in an North America paediatric pain journal on the subject.

Shannon spends the rest of her time enjoying instructing college students currently enrolled in a massage therapy diploma program in Toronto.
